I have lived in Old Glossop since 2002, I love the strong sense of community and wonderful location.
I have been active in the community, as a candidate in the 2017 County Council elections and distributing Labour Party newsletters. If elected to HPBC I will undertake to engage with constituents to ensure that I represent your interests. Old Glossop faces many challenges, not least the threat of new housing without consideration as to whether we have sufficient infrastructure, which poses a threat to our uniqueness. We have been described as “the jewel in Glossop’s crown”.
If elected I will do my utmost to ensure that what makes us special is not compromised.
I work in the NHS, where I deal with some of the most vulnerable people in society. I understand the importance of strong communities and a strong society, of having dreams and aspirations and how a more equal society benefits everyone.
HPBC, like all Councils, continues to be impacted by the year on year cuts to budgets. It needs strong and principled candidates to represents your interests, and I believe that I can be that candidate.
