I have lived in Whaley Bridge all my life, have attended local schools and have worked in Whaley Bridge and locally. I have 3 children and 3 grandchildren who also live and work in Whaley, so I’m aware of the issues and concerns in the town.
As a member of Whaley Bridge Matters, I know of the strong feelings people have about our local area. I’m also a member of the Patient Participation Group at the local GP practice.
As a wheelchair user, I am aware of some of the problems we face as disabled people getting around in High Peak and hope to bring these to the fore and will campaign to improve access across the Borough.
I believe a Labour council will once again look after ALL of the people of the High Peak and care for our weaker and more vulnerable.
